The Rules Of Pop'n Navy

Pop'n Navy is fun and easy to use, but is also the basis of a growing Pop'n Music community in the US. As such, we ask that you please follow these simple rules and try your best not to be evil.

  1. The site is in beta until the version number hits 1.0. As such, functioanlity is limited and not considered complete. You understand that as a beta system, your data may be altered or possible deleted without warning, although I have no intention of doing this. Use at your own risk.
  2. I hold final judgement over everything. In the event of a dispute, I decide. I try to list my arbitration methods on the site, but I reserve the right to change how I decide things at any time. In matters of potential system abuses or bullshit scores, I reserve the right to destroy your account without prior notice or warning should I feel you are transgressing hard enough.
  3. Try to be humane. I hold Pop'n players to a high standard. I expect you to act at least somewhat mature and not try to a) break the site, b) cause drama, or c) act like the kind of person who thinks there's no other purpose in life than slapping colored buttons.
  4. You agree not to enter scores from simulators, the arcade, or your imagination under penalty of castration. Simulators are notorious in their flaky timing and malformed song files. Please don't use them. The arcade gives you a wider variety of hi-speed settings and this proves problematic for those not living within the vicinity of a Pop'n machine, like the majority of the US.
  5. You agree to defend your scores in a timely manner. If you start posting 100k's and you aren't known in the community, you will be challenged. You will need access to a digital camera to defend your scores, which is a reasonable requirement of someone who's playing a game that requires a large expenditure like Pop'n does. Please check the forums for challenges and details on defending them.
  6. You know enough about Pop'n to not bother me directly about things. The map for Gambler Z, how to unlock Ex's, etc...these are all questions that are either covered on the help page or on our boards or other Pop'n sites.
  7. If there's something wrong with the site, and you're sure it's my fault, you'll politely let me know. This site is a derivative of a code base that's nearly two years old. There are always errors in note counts, song romanizations, and little other things. Polite inqueries are greatly appreciated.
  8. You'll keep up with the news and join the community. I post little notes on the forum every new and then. Be sure to read them. Big news will go on my blog, generally. Talk to people on the forums, join the IRC channel, be social. It's good for you.
  9. If you like the site, say thanks. I am (still) doing this out of the goodness of my heart. If you enjoy it, either drop me a note and let me know what you like (and if there's anything you think that could be better), or buy something from the Pop'n Navy Store. Positive feedback is greatly appreciated.
  10. You understand that if your account is nuked for any reason, there is no appealing. I'm not looking for added drama in my life. If we get to the point where I have decided to remove your account, I'll let you know, and that's the end. Don't come back, don't try to get all sneaky with the re-registration, any of that. Realize you're done and walk away.

Now that that's all done, and you've read and understood all of that, it's time to register.
